PhD in Informatics), open to students of all nationalities: PhD from University of Lisbon: full time in Lisbon. Dual PhD from Carnegie Mellon University and University of Lisbon: CMU and FCUL are offering recently a dual program--- one program, two PhD degrees, living approximately half of the time in each town (Pittsburgh and Lisbon). Eligible candidates: • Holders of MSc degrees (pre- or post-Bologna) or equivalent. • Licentiate graduates with a minimal grade 16/20. • Holders of foreign academic qualification declared equivalent. • Candidates with at least Good with Distinction in FCUL PEI. • Holders of an academic and professional scientific curriculum which reflects a capacity to the PhD qualification. • Candidates from other areas granted a request for Equivalence • Publications, awards and other relevant aspects included in the Curriculum Vitae will be considered in the selection. • Affinity of research interests and experience in the proposed areas will also be considered. Students can apply to either or both programs. They should state their choice in the statement of purpose.
